Today we got an email from our lawyer regarding the Secretaria de Bienestar Social de la Presidencia (CNA also called the CA). He told us that our case has to be registered with the CNA. He stayed there with his assistant until 4pm and the line didn't move forward at all. They only worked with the cases of 5 lawyers. On Saturday he was on line all day too, and did not have his files reviewed for CNA approval to get Registered. Edwin is #26, on Sunday he is going to the CNA to wait on line again, and hopes that all his files will be registered.
Luckily, the CNA is working all weekend, but they are checking the files thoroughly and are giving "previos/kick outs".
Lets keep our fingers crossed and say a few prayers, that all of Edwin's files are approved and get registered with the CNA, so that our adoption process can proceed.
It's definitely not over until Anna is home in the U.S. Lets hope all the other children get home to, to their families.

I'm a little confused. Everything that I have read states that as long as you have PGN approval and your bith decree is signed and new birth certificate then everything is completed on the Guatemala side of the adoption. So you shouldn't have to register with the CA. Is he just doing it to be safe?
Uuuugh! How frustrating! Just when you think you're home free... I'm praying that this is just a minor derailment and that you guys will be bringing Anna home VERY soon. I know Edwin is fighting to make sure anything and everything that needs to be done WILL be done in the shortest time possible.
