Sorry, it took awhile to post this, but I wasn't able to download my pics to my laptop, because I had no more space available to do it. So I had to clean up the hard drive, to make space, to download the pics on the lap top. So here it is.............. just a little bit of a warning here, it is long. But at the end - I just had to give special Thanks!
What a busy Easter week/weekend. There is something going on each day of the week in the Esposito-Kanakos house/family :)
Wednesday (3/19), after Peter's school/class, mommy was bringing the kiddos to see Grandma at her Home Extension meeting (it's where a whole bunch of elderly woman get together to do crafts and chat), so everyone there can see Anna & Peter. Grandma was soo happy to see her grandchildren, and her friends just loved the kids. We stayed for a little while to visit, before heading home.

Wednesday (3/19), after Peter's school/class, mommy was bringing the kiddos to see Grandma at her Home Extension meeting (it's where a whole bunch of elderly woman get together to do crafts and chat), so everyone there can see Anna & Peter. Grandma was soo happy to see her grandchildren, and her friends just loved the kids. We stayed for a little while to visit, before heading home.
Thursday (3/20), Daddy invited Anna, Peter, and mommy to lunch at Ruby Tuesday. Peter likes going to "Rubys". This was the first restaurant Anna has been too and she was GREAT! She was napping when we first got there, but big brother Peter had to wake her up. Anna enjoyed looking at all the TV's. Big brother Peter enjoyed showing off his baby sister. Next to us were a few elderly ladies having lunch, and when they left they stopped to talk to Anna and Peter. Peter asked mommy who they were? as if to question, why were they talking to him and Anna. It was cute.
Friday (3/21) we went to Chuck E Cheese. Peter just loves this place and we don't go that often. But, since he has been such a great big brother, mommy told Peter that we can go to Chuck E Cheese. Peter met his cousins there along with his pal Jen and her folks. Daddy even showed up at Chuck E Cheese, Peter was very surprised to see daddy. Anna had fun just sitting in the stroller checking out everything.
Saturday we decided to go out to Riverhead, to the Atlantis Marine World, so Peter can see Mombo (from the movie Happy Feet). We met Peter's cousin Rebecca, Sarah, and Aunt Donna at the aquarium. Daddy even came along to for this family outing. Peter and Anna had a great time. Guess we'll have to renew our membership there, since Peter enjoys it.
Saturday evening we headed to Grandma's house to decorate eggs, with Peter's sisters and his cousins and Aunts. We ordered out Pizza for dinner and then decorated eggs. Peter had a fun time experimenting with the dye and how white eggs turned all these different colors.
All day Saturday, we talked about the Easter Bunny and how he is bringing Easter baskets to good girls and boys. Mommy explained to Peter what takes place, and how he has to wake up tomorrow morning to look for his basket. Peter is finally getting old enough to sort of understand all these fun holidays.
Sunday (Easter) morning Peter woke up, and we wished each other a Happy Easter. Then Peter remembered that he had to look for his Easter Basket. He started looking throughout the whole house. Mommy told Peter that the Easter bunny his all the baskets in the living room. So Peter started looking in the living room. It was quite easy to find Anna's basket, then Peter needed a few hints, but he found it. He was sooo sooo happy that the Easter Bunny remembered to get him his "Shoprite" truck, and a few Nascar race cars. Then we had to get ready to go to church. We were early to church so we were able to get seats. The kiddos were great in Church, even though Peter wouldn't let Anna take her morning nap. Everyone around us loved the kids, and they were so amazed how Peter kept his tie on the entire time. To this day Margaret always has tears in her eyes at church, because we are so Thankful for having Anna and Peter part of our family. I (Margaret) don't think there has been a time when she went to church that tears didn't start - since Peter's been home - we are just so blessed. Anna was in her pretty dress for Easter and Peter wore a shirt and tie (of course the tie had "lightning McQueen" - from the Disney movie Cars), Peter just loved his tie and kept it on the entire time. After church we met daddy's side of the family at the Diner for Breakfast. After breakfast we headed home to "pack up the kitchen sink" before heading over to Grandma's house for Easter Dinner. Mommy's side of the family was at dinner, there was about 19 of us at Dinner, it was very nice. Once at Grandma's house, mommy asked Peter is he wanted to get changed, and he said "NO", he wanted to keep on his shirt and tie. Mommy changed Anna out of her dress, just so she would be comfortable while in her "jumparoo". After dinner the kiddos went outside to play lacrosse, and Peter managed to play with his cousins, while still wearing the shirt and tie. Then they decided it was time to climb the tree in Grandma's front yard, and there goes Peter climbing the tree in his shirt and tie. How many 2 1/2 years old do you know, that refuses to take off a shirt and tie, mommy was sooo sooo amazed that Peter kept on the tie. We had dessert, and then backed up the "kitchen sink" to head back home. At which point Peter agreed to take off the tie, but he kept on the dress shirt. While on the way home Peter fell asleep, and stayed asleep until the next morning at 8am. He had soo much fun with his cousins, taking a nap was not on his list of things to do.
It was a very nice Easter, it was busy - but nice since we got to see both of our families, and they got to see Anna and Peter. We are so Blessed to have Peter and Anna in our family! I give Thanks everyday, that we chose this path to bring Anna home. IFF we went with the same agency that we brought Peter home with, we wouldn't have a daughter - only because they had about a 16-18 week wait for a baby girl, and we wouldn't have been put on the list until August 29, 2007, and they stopped giving out referrals shortly after that due to the uncertainty in Guatemala. Big Kudos goes out to B. Turner - from "down south", who Margaret found while searching the Internet for "independent adoptions in Guatemala", he introduced us to Edwin (our lawyer in Guatemala), who introduced us to our Daughter! Edwin and his family will always remain a part of our family! Because of their dedication to their beliefs in helping the children in Guatemala, we have our daughter Anna home with us. Muchas Gracias!!! Our prayers will always include Peter and Anna's Birth moms, because they made such a great sacrifice so that their child could have a better life. I am sure it was a difficult decision to make as a mother. I can not imagine life without my two kiddos, they bring us so much joy and love everyday of our lives.

Even though Anna is home, I have decided to continue to update the blog, just so everyone can see how the family is doing. I am going to try to update it weekly, only because a lot of things do go on each week, and our little Anna and Peter are growing as they sleep. :)
